We're home. Finally. Everything is moved in, most of our stuff is unpacked and the main areas of the house are coming together nicely. As I write this, Master is busy hooking up our surround sound system. We got internet and cable today, which is why I am able to write this.
We slept in the house for the first time last night. We could have stayed here the night before but we had already paid for the hotel room and everything was all torn apart here. So, really, since we were paying for everything anyway, why not stay at the hotel?
Very few things have gone wrong with this move. One of our pieces of art got slit with a box cutter when it was being unwrapped. As it was not one of our original oil paintings, I didn't lose my shit. There were a couple of small items that vanished which is unfortunate but, in the grand scheme of things, so much more could have gone wrong.
It's been a long week or two. We've traveled about 1600 kms with two neurotic animals. We've completely changed our way of life and we've managed to end up in a gorgeous house in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. What could be better?
