Feels Like a World Away

Currently, Master and I are in Moncton, New Brunswick. Well, in a small suburb of Moncton, I guess. The hotel we are in tonight is really lovely. We got two adjoining rooms and the kidlet is able to have her own but the doors between the two can be opened to make what feels like one large open space. As I type, Master is down at the pool with the kidlet while I mind the dogs and get some work done.

Not that the dogs are being bad, unless one counts jumping from one bed to the next like a giant horse at a steeplechase event. If he wasn't so cute and wooly, I think I would lose my mind totally but I can't help laughing instead. Master taught the smaller dog to jump from bed to bed too. It's kind of impressive. The beds are about two and a half feet apart so the fact that the little dog can go back and forth is awesome.

Tomorrow we will be home. Well, in the new city where we will be living for the foreseeable future. This may possibly be it, for us. If Master likes it well enough we may stay here permanently, buy a house and put down roots. I am two provinces away from my former life and one of the kiddos. That is kind of hard to deal with and I am sure that it's going to hit me all of a sudden and I will have a bit of a breakdown.

Thing is, this feels like a world away but it also feels like coming home. The food is amazing and so is the beer. The people have all been really warm and welcoming. I know that realistically they won't ALL be this great but so far nobody has harshed my mellow yet.

More updates to come!!!
