The weekend is finally here! This morning Master and I both got to sleep in which was heavenly. It feels like it has been way way too long since that was possible. I've been struggling with a cold and trying to work full time and get a freelance writing career up and running. I love writing (one of the reasons I started this blog) but it can be kind of time consuming and mentally draining in a way that my day job is not.
I am very fortunate because Master is extremely supportive of my career. He could complain if I have work to do but he doesn't. Its something I can do sitting next to him on the couch in the evening so its not like it fully takes away from the time we have together but there are times when I have a deadline and need to write instead of playing or being able to serve him in some way.
At the moment, we are working on getting my office set up. I've had a desk up there for a while but there has always been a bunch of other stuff in the same room. It was the youngest kidlet's room and her bunk beds and dressers are still in there. Last night the bunk beds came down and were stored in the basement. We are in the process of setting up shelves so the cats (who really sort of rule the roost) can climb up and escape our dogs.
Today is likely going to be a busy day even though its supposed to be a day "off". We have the office to finish setting up, the house needs cleaning and I have a meal to cook because we have a guest coming for supper. She's a friend from a previous workplace and its been a while since I've seen her. Hopefully everything will all be put to rights and look neat and tidy by the time she gets here. I know its important to Master to have the house looking put together when we have guests and because of that its important to me as well.
Hopefully we can get some play in this evening as well. We had meant to play last night because both kidlets were out but by the time we took a break from working on the office it was late and we both ended up falling asleep on the couch. Ah, the glorious, sexy life of 24/7 M/s. This part of our life is very important to both of us but sometimes the rest of life just gets in the way.
