Master gave me a gift certificate to one of my favorite clothing stores for Christmas and I have been saving it until a few things caught my eye. I loved this particular store when I was working as a sales rep and have continued to love it even now that I am working in a position where the dress code is a bit more relaxed. Most of the things there are pretty dressy so nowadays, it takes some time to sort through and find things that I can wear no matter whether I am going some place fancy or just heading in to work for the day.
I've been stopping in this store whenever I have a spare minute or two on my breaks. We also stop in when Master and I are there for other reasons. Lately, there have been a few things that interested me and I was looking forward to trying them on to see whether they were as nice on as they were hanging on the racks.
I needed to find a time when we could both go. I don't get to pick clothes without Master seeing what they look like on me. He's not a micro manager and so I don't need to check in with him on a daily basis to have my outfits approved but he does like to have a say in what goes on my body. Everything in my closet has been given the stamp of approval and he likes my overall style so again, no conflict. If we are going out somewhere special, that's different. He even approved my wedding dress before I bought it, although that was via photograph so that the delicate sensibilities of the sales staff were not tested too much.
I don't have a lot of hard and fast rules for how I am supposed to dress. I am supposed to dress modestly especially if we aren't out together. No short shorts or short skirts. I don't get to wear items that are low cut either. Its fine, its not like I was dressing like a street walker before I met him. I like being covered up and, to be honest, wouldn't mind being told to wear skirts as a general rule or have other clothing restrictions. Since that's not on the books at this point in time, I'm happy with the rules that are in place.
