Well, the new year has gotten off to a great start (mostly). Everyone has settled back into their routines and we're even getting used to that brutal 5:30 am wake up alarm. Since B is military he has to be up and at work fairly early in the morning. One of my requirements is that I wake up with him and remind him of things he will need for the day (ie his lunch, any appointments he may have etc). If he wants me to perform any acts of service such as getting his car cleaned off and started there is the option to do so but up until this point he hasn't felt the need to have me do that.
This is actually something that has been surprisingly hard for me. I tend to sleep deeply and have trouble waking up. If I haven't gotten a lot of sleep the night before I tend to wake up badly so waking up and being verbal and pleasant is really, really hard. I've managed so far but its always a bit of a battle and I'm not always 100% fully awake.
Master was very generous and got me a new computer shortly after New Years. My old one was in fair condition but it was pretty slow and I kind of fell in love with the laptop we got my oldest kidlet. It was a good price so Master got me one of my own. I've been fighting with the new technology for the past two days or so and its a battle that I think I MAY have won.Time will tell though.
B has come down with a fairly nasty head cold/sinus thing. I've been trying to help by making sure that he is taking his cold meds at regular intervals and fetching him things like drinks as well as trying to encourage him to take it easy. He doesn't always cooperate, mind you, but he at least has the option of putting his feet up and letting me do it all.
I always like pampering him even if he only lets me do it a little every once in a while. I just wish it was for a reason other than that he is feeling under the weather.
