Winter sucks. It really does. While I do appreciate the cold weather in Canada keeping the massive reptiles and insects at bay, that appreciation begins to wane each year as winter progresses and the snow keeps piling up. Yes. I know that LOGICALLY there is going to be snow and I know that LOGICALLY where Master and I live is actually fairly "spoiled" when it comes to the winters here but TODAY the weather here is horrible and since I feel like whining a little that is exactly what I am going to do.
Last year we had little to no snow. This year its a bit different but in general, its been really good. Yesterday Master and I were out running errands for the week and it was -1 Celsius which, if you live in the land of Imperial, is pretty damn nice. The nice weather yesterday was bracketed by storms though.
Saturday night, Master and I went to an orientation at our local dungeon. We had an amazing time and met some great people. There was going to be a play party after but the snow decided to crap all over that. Hopefully next time we go things won't end up getting cut short. We ended up getting 15-20 cms of snow (like... 6-8" maybe?) Saturday night. It's pretty, it's fluffy and you can cross country ski in it.
Today though, today is like Saturday night on PMS. We got snow. Now it's ice pellets and later.... rain. Yay! Because what is better than rain on snow covered streets, right? The upside is that both Master and I are home from work. Our house is warm, our dogs are happy they aren't in their crates and I get a little unexpected free time. Master ended up driving me home from work since his car has all wheel drive and mine does not. Winter tires can only do so much, after all.
