Wintery Saturday

Today is a good day for staying in and relaxing. It's been lovely and warm where Master and I live even though we are in to December but today that's changed. It went from feeling like May to a winter wonderland. We're not supposed to get much snow today but the stuff we have gotten is blowing around nicely. I don't mind it so much but our little dog does.

It's been really lovely having weekends off with Master. I really do well with a predictable schedule and it keeps our relationship on a more even keel if we have time off together.

This weekend I have a little writing to do to finish up a project and then Master and I are going to a basketball game tomorrow. I'll have to work around all of that to make sure that the housework gets done. If I have time I might do some baking but I'm not 100% sure I will get around to it.

The youngest kiddo heads out to see her dad on Wednesday so once that has happened Master and I will have the house to ourselves. It will remain to be seen whether we end up playing much. In the past I've always had hopes that we will and when it doesn't pan out I always end up getting upset. This time, I am trying to let go of expectations and just let things flow as they will. In the long run I think I will end up being a lot happier.

I've gotten some shopping done for the holidays and Master and I have figured out what we are having for Christmas dinner. He bought a goose yesterday and I am super excited. They tend to be pretty pricey creatures and so when cooking for four people it really hasn't been feasible but this year its only two of us eating together.
