Life continues to be incredibly busy. It certainly isn't doing me the favor of slowing down at all just because Master is away and my plate isn't big enough to hold all of the things that are coming my way. I've been working full time, taking on writing work in the evenings, dealing with the demands of single parenting some pretty active kiddos, and working on getting details of the move hammered out.
There have been some low points. My trip to a dance competition is a very good example of a low point. I scraped the paint on my car getting into a parking space, lost my car TWICE in a massive underground parking garage, and got completely turned around and lost in another province. All in the same day. That was actually the lowest point to date. Other things have been irritating but not insanely stressful.
There have also been some positive moments. I found out that Master will, in fact, be home and able to go on the house hunting trip with me. I found my eldest a place to live (since she isn't moving with us), and I have been able to balance working with getting the kids where they need to be when they need to be there (not always an easy feat). I also have been in reasonably good health and have not had my back go out on me at all in a crippling kind of way.
Master and I have also been able to talk on the phone more lately than we have for most of the last 10 weeks. It makes all the difference in the world to me to be able to hear his voice. Sometimes we talk dirty on the phone and sometimes we just chat about stuff but hearing his voice is so much better than texting. I am not used to being able to talk to someone so much while they are out with the military so this has been a very wonderful treat that I don't take for granted.
Now that we are down to single digits until Master comes home, I am finally, finally beginning to be able to relax. I know that I won't completely be able to calm down until I know that things are all working out but it's a start. It's a definite start.
