In less than a week, Master will be done working away and will be home again (at least, he will be for a little while). I'm getting pretty excited and Master is as well. He's missed my cooking, missed being around and missed being a part of the family for so long. It will have been about four months (give or take) since he had to temporarily move away and although he has been home on a fairly regular basis, its just not the same as having him home for good.
This is a part of being with someone who is military but I don't think its something I will ever really get used to. All I can do is get routines set up that can be carried out regardless of whether Master is home or not so that the household continues to run smoothly. I'm getting better at it than I was but I still haven't perfected the process and am not sure I ever will.
He was home for four days and we had a heck of a lot of fun while he was here. I worked Thursday and Friday but had yesterday and today off. It rained quite a bit but we were pretty much crying for rain so that was okay. The rain started Thursday and went all of Friday and Saturday. Today was lovely. It was overcast but dry. When the rain was falling, Master and I bathed and shaved our big dog down and today when it was cloudy but dry we ended up getting out on the water for a nice long paddle.
The best part was that the kidlets were both out of the house last night. They stayed with a friend which meant that Master and I got to play. I had forgotten to make the bed on Thursday, which is one of the standing house rules so I did get a caning that night but caning is quiet and is something that we can do after the kidlets were in bed.
Last night because we had the house to ourselves we got in a nice flogging session. There is a massive difference to me between a punishment caning and a flogging session. The flogger is nice and thuddy whereas the cane cuts and hurts. A good flogging feels almost like a back rub to me and helps really relax me whereas a caning is just pain, pain, pain.
We didn't do much outside the bedroom this time. Sometimes we play a bit on the couch but this time the opportunity didn't present itself, which is okay. He did choke me a few times but again, most of our activities were in the bedroom.
I can't tell you how much I want to get back to normal. Our normal routine and rules. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel, though, and that light looks wonderful.
